It's all about Arctic BarCHALLENGE The owners approached us with a need: Arctic Bar sits directly on the Alaska cruise ship line and, their unique “Happy Bears” logo made their products so popular, their bartender was too busy selling merchandise to sell drinks. They had lost control of their domain name ArcticBar.com and search engine results turned up several other businesses named Arctic Bar, including other Alaska locations. Arctic Bar had never had a Web site or Internet presence and there was no reference to the bar in any of the returned search results. SOLUTION Our goal was to build a Web site ready for search engine optimization (SEO) while keeping the authentic feel of a historic, local saloon. We worked closely with the owners on design and product photography, while our SEO experts immediately began keyword and optimization research. Control of the domain name was regained and we launched the new ArcticBar.com. RESULTS Within 4 weeks entering the search term “arctic bar” in any of the major search engines returned “our” Arctic Bar on the first results page; within 10 weeks Arctic Bar ranked in all top 3 spots. The search term “ketchikan bar” returns Arctic Bar as the number one area business result in the Google business directory listings. Orders are continually increasing, the owners are seeing their goals fulfilled…all the while the drinks are flowing more freely at the Home of the Happy Bears. Previous: des-ae.com |
